Suspicious package found at airbase

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station initiated emergency protocols after a suspicious package was found on the base.
Officials say the package was delivered by a civilian mail carrier around 2 p.m. on Tuesday and had no return address. Federal and state law enforcement agents were called to the base to help determine the nature of the package, which has since been removed from the base.
In the event of an emergency, local crews were also called to the base for aid.
