WHEATFIELD, N.Y. (WIVB) - A fun fundraiser brought some scary creatures out on Saturday.
The first annual Niagara SPCA Zombie Fest was held at the shelter on Lockport Road in Wheatfield. It includes a bounce house, maze and costume parade, along with hayrides. The festival is just one avenue the SPCA is using to defray increasing costs.
Shelter director Amy Lewis said, "We need sponsorships. We're definitely looking for corporate sponsors, adoptions. Right now we're completely full. We have a promotion going on Sunday and Monday where all cats and kittens are fee-waived, and dog adoptions are $50."
