ALTOONA, Pa. (AP) - A central Pennsylvania woman is the target of a good deed done by an anonymous person determined to do something kind in the wake of Connecticut's deadly school shooting last week.
Rose Pratt tells WJAC-TV she saw a Christmas card under her windshield wiper outside an Altoona department store on Sunday and opened it to find $10 and a handwritten message.
Pratt says the message was, "How do you fight evil in the world? You fight it with good. This act of kindness is in memory of a child who lost his/her life yesterday. Make the world a better place. Do good and Merry Christmas."
Pratt says the message made her cry and she plans to use the money — and some more of her own — to do something nice for a child in need.
