NY State tax forms no longer mailed

The New York State Department of Taxation and Finance reminds all taxpayers that personal income tax forms will no longer be coming to you in the mail.  Eliminating printing and mailing costs will save taxpayers $1 million. 

The fastest way to obtain your 2008 New York State personal income tax forms are:

*Visit www.nystax.gov and download all the forms and instructions that you need.

*Visit your local library.  Most libraries will have a supply of forms, or may  allow you to print forms from a CD or the Web site.

Be sure to obtain your forms in time to meet the April 15, 2009 filing deadline.
