BELLWOOD, Pa. (AP) - Authorities say a driver will face charges after his truck hit a ditch and crashed on a snow-covered road in central Pennsylvania, spilling 17 tons of processed human waste.

Pennsylvania State Police say the accident happened early Wednesday in Antis Township, Blair County. They say the 27-year-old driver hit a ditch, flipped over and spilled its cargo into a nearby marsh.

The Centre Daily Times reports the driver was treated for minor injuries and charges against him are pending. The Department of Environmental Protection responded to the scene to supervise the cleanup.
