BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Rumors are swirling about whether or not the signs of the zodiac have changed.
The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported that because the orbit of the Earth "wobbles", caused by the gravitational pull of the moon, there is a "one-month bump in the stars' alignment."
The Tribune shifts the dates that determine a person's zodiac sign and even lists a 13th zodiac sign, Ophiuchus, as birthdays from November 29 to December 17th. Ophiuchus was discarded centuries ago to reduce the number of signs to only twelve.
According to CNN , zodiac signs have not changed because there have always been two zodiacs, tropical zodiac and the sidereal zodiac. Most Western nations adhere to the tropical zodiac which are tied to the seasons, not to the constellations.
The unconfimed "Ophiuchus" sign is trending on Twitter, Friday morning.
