TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Town of Tonawanda woman could serve jail time because of her barking dogs.
Barbara Creighton appeared in court Wednesday night for repeatedly violating an ordinance requiring dog owners to keep their animals from waking neighbors. The 77-year-old has been fined several times since 2009.
"If I could afford to sell my house, I would never live in Tonawanda again. Never. I'm just overpowered. No matter what I try to say I'm being shut up," Creighton said.
She will be sentenced in September.
This isn't the first time she has faced jail time over her barking dogs. Last month, Justice Daniel Cavarello ordered her to spend 24 hours behind bars, but the ruling was later dropped.
