Hot dog on donut bun coming to NYS Fair

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WIVB) - You may remember last year's bizarre State Fair concoction: a hamburger with a donut bun. This year, they're reinventing the hot dog!

Last year, the "Big Kahuna Donut Burger" took the fair by storm and officials say it's coming back. But this year, they'll also be offering the "Big Kahuna Donut Dog" - that's right, a hot dog with a maple glazed donut bun. But there's more. The hot dog is also wrapped in bacon!

The State Fair runs from August 23rd through September 3rd. After you eat your sweet, meaty treat, you can also swing by the Deep Fried Specialties stand. Their new offerings for 2012 are: deep fried lasagna, deep fried fluff and banana sandwiches, deep fried brownies, deep fried peanut butter and deep fried jelly beans.
