WARSAW, N.Y. (WIVB) - Troopers say a man couldn't avoid hitting a cow in Wyoming County over the weekend.

Joseph Rosowski, Jr. of Bliss was traveling on Rt. 20A in Warsaw on Saturday when he saw two cows in his lane. He attempted to swerve, but was unable to avoid hitting one of the cows, killing it.

Rosowski was uninjured. His female passenger received a hand/wrist injury and was taken to the Wyoming County Community Hospital for treatment. She was later released.

The owners of the cow, Swiss Valley Farms in Warsaw, were alerted about the accident.
