Rare lion cub headed to new home

ATTLEBORO, MASS. (WPRI) - A rare white lion cub that's been driving huge crowds to Attleboro's Capron Park Zoo is moving on to a new home.

This weekend will be Taji's last weekend in New England. His new home will be a private zoo facility in Indiana.

Taji won he hearts of many over the past few months, especially those who had a chance to pet and play with Taji during a special encounter at the zoo.

However, zoo officials said Taji is too big to touch now, and is outgrowing the zoo. Taji has been kept away from the other lions -including his father, Ramses, because of possible conflicts.

Taji will live among the other young lions at his new home in Indiana.
