CASTLE SHANNON, Pa. (AP) - Police say a man allegedly broke into a Pittsburgh-area bar because he was thirsty.
Castle Shannon police say a tavern's burglar alarm went off at 8:59 a.m. Tuesday. When they arrived on the scene a dispatcher told them the alarm system detected movement inside the building.
Police say 54-year-old James W. Ohanlon emerged a few minutes later and made an unsolicited statement that he was thirsty. Authorities say they also found an open cold beer on the bar.
Ohanlon was arrested and charged with felony criminal trespass and burglary, and misdemeanor theft.
No attorney was listed on court papers, and Ohanlon couldn't be located for comment.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 19.
