ALBION, N.Y. (WIVB) - Police quickly caught the man they say robbed the Yellow Goose store in Albion on Wednesday.
Officers responded to the store on North Main Street on reports a man had entered the store wearing a bandanna over his face and holding his hand in a way that made it appear he had a gun. They were able to track the suspect to a nearby home by following the footprints in freshly fallen snow. Orlando Hernandez, 19, was found hiding in a closet and taken into custody.
Hernandez is charged with third degree robbery, third degree menacing and petit larceny. After being arraigned, he was taken to the Orleans County Jail on $10,000 bail.
Investigators say they recovered the $287 Hernandez stole.
