BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A local photojournalist is hoping his work inspires others to take action, from the Queen City to the Big Easy.
The 'Grant Street Gallery' in Buffalo is hosting the exhibit when the financial levies broke.
It is the work of independent photojournalist Clark Dever, and he believes it highlights striking similarities between parts of Buffalo's east side, and the lower ninth ward of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina hit, "This show's about raising awareness. It's about creating a dialogue within the community and it's about taking action as a community to improve Buffalo as a whole."
Dever captured the images of New Orleans while on a relief trip with other students from the University at Buffalo in 2006.
His exhibit continues through next Thursday at the Grant Street Gallery.
