CLARENCE CENTER, N.Y. (WIVB) - The families of Flight 3407 are teaming up with a hero as they move forward in their mission to increase air safety standards in memory of their loved ones.
Families will join "miracle on the Hudson" co-pilot, Jeff Skiles, for trips to West Virginia and Minnesota this week, where they will bring a message to the home states of the Senate Commerce Chairman and the House Transportation and Infrastructure Chair.
3407 families have been pushing for tougher pilot training and passage of the FAA re-authorization bill. A deadline to pass that bill has been extended until August 1st.
