Albany urging NYers claim NY in census

ALBANY, N.Y. (WIVB) - Albany wants to make sure its "snowbirds" stay loyal to New York state come census time.

State leaders are encouraging New Yorkers who fly the coup for the winter months to answer their 2010 census form at their New York address.

Census numbers determine how Washington divides some $400 billion in federal funding each year. New York is also in danger of losing two more congressional seats.
