GREECE, N.Y. (WIVB) - Congressional candidate Jack Davis is accused of taking a swing at someone Wednesday night outside a campaign event.
We were alerted to this video by the Erie County Republican Committee, and Davis's people think he was simply set up to look bad. Take a look at the video as Jack Davis was leaving a campaign stop in Greece, NY and judge for yourself.
Watch the full video below:
Jack Davis spokesman Curtis Ellis said, "You have an operative from an opposing campaign harassing and assaulting a candidate for federal office. This person was pushing a camera in Jack's face, preventing him from getting in his car. Standing in his way, trying to antagonize him and trying to get video that would look like far more than what actually happened."
Things are getting a little crazy in this hotly contested congressional election, which is now less than two weeks away.
