EAST AURORA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A hot-button issue is now in the hands of voters in East Aurora.
Village Mayor Clark Crook is running against Allen Kasprzak. Crook is a strong supporter of eventually dissolving the village and merging with the town of Aurora. Taxpayers are divided on the issue.
Jim Oubre said, "I think it's important to consolidate services. It would be more economical."
"Villages in America have a uniqueness. That's what I want preserved about our village," contended Bob Warhus.
The polls close at 9 p.m. Tuesday night.
