Higgins demands Governor end suspension

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Congressman Brian Higgins says western New York's economy is suffering thanks to a state suspension of construction projects.

Higgins let loose on Governor Paterson at a press conference on Fuhrmann Boulevard. He's demanding that the Governor end the suspension, saying much of the money spent on those projects is federal funding he fought for. The state construction freeze is holding up $64 million that is funding major construction work on Fuhrmann Boulevard.
