ALBANY, N.Y. (WIVB) - New York lawmakers are heading home, even though their work is far from finished in Albany.
Despite three straight days of talks, the legislature could not agree on how to close this year's $3.2 billion deficit. Leaders of the Assembly and Senate are continuing to negotiate in private with Paterson. The goal is to return to Albany on Monday, November 23 and pass a deficit reduction plan.
