Obama nominates Hochul for US attorney

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - President Obama has nominated veteran federal prosecutor William Hochul as the new U.S. attorney for western New York.

Hochul is the assistant U.S. attorney who handled the Lackawanna Six case, along with other high profile prosecutions over the years.

He was recommended by U.S. Senator Charles Schumer. The nomination is subject to confirmation by the U.S. Senate.
