BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - It's been a heated race since day one, the race for the governor's mansion.
Tuesday, voters have the final say in the Paladino, Cuomo showdown.
It call comes down to Tuesday.
Carl Paladino left his polling place just before noon, Tuesday. He spent some time at his polling place, shaking hands with voters and thanking election workers.
When casting his ballot, Paladino ignored the throng of cameras. Media from across the state came to the south Buffalo church, to talk to the man that wants to be governor.
Carl spoke to voters after he voted, and says he is still confident he'll win, despite being behind in the polls as many as 20 points.
He acknowledged his campaign had few mistakes along the way, but says he was honest throughout the campaign.
Paladino said, "You see, any of my missteps were just me, just being human. I don't know who could not misstep in an election process like that. Can I say I would have done those things differently? Well, of course, if I used the wrong choice of words or when I was in a situation or whatever, yeah I regret 'em. I would have done things differently. I'm just human. This is the first time I've ever done this, and the last time."
