ALBANY, N.Y. (WIVB) - The governor is fighting back against rumors of a sex scandal.
There are reports the New York Times is about to publish a 'bombshell' story that will include accusations about womanizing and drug use.
Paterson denies those allegations.
He says the media and New York politics have hit new lows and calls the whole situation "an orchestrated, scandalous assault" on his character.
Paterson says the rumors won't stop him from seeking election to a full term in office this fall.
The governor plans to meet with the Times editos, to discuss the article that should be coming out soon.
