BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - News 4 Political Analyst, Joe Crangle has declared incumbent Sheriff Timothy Howard as the winner of the race for Erie County Sheriff.

It has been a fierce fight between Howard and Glascott, as Howard has been accused of mistreatment at the jails.

Captain Glascott campaigned against Howard, using Howard's operation of the jails as a big part of his campaign.

Tuesday is a big night for Republicans in Erie County.

At the Republican headquarters, everyone celebrates Howard's big win.
