ALBANY, N.Y. (WIVB) - Republican Senator Dale Volker says this week's extraordinary session cost New York taxpayers $300,000.
He blames the democratic leadership for stalling the sessions. Lawmakers left without tackling the $3.2 billion deficit.
Moody's Investors Service says the inaction could hurt New York State's stable credit rating.
Governor Paterson warned of deep cuts across the board and says the state might not be able to pay its bills if the deficit is not fixed.
