BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A federal ban on embryonic stem cell research could take a big bite out of funding at UB.

Business First reports the halting of that field of research could mean a $4 million loss at the state school. Last month's ruling is expected to slow down research in the fields of Parkinson's and heart disease as well as cancer.
