TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) - The race for the Tonawanda Town Board has finally been decided, after a human error caused a recount.

Republican candidates Gigi Grizanti and James McGee were accidentally given the same electronic number that was read by the new scanning machines.

The Erie County Board of Elections conducted a recount Wednesday night.

In the end, the results did not change.

McGee received 16 percent of the vote and Grizanti pulled in 14 percent.
