Brooks files complaint on Slaughter ad

ROCHESTER, NY (WIVB) - The campaign for the 25 ^th Congressional District is heating up with candidate Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks' filing complaints against political ads launched by opponent, Congresswoman Louise Slaughter.

Brooks has filed a second complaint with the Fair Election Practices Committee over a direct mail ad that cites ‘scandals’ in the County Executive Brooks’ administration.

Brooks calls the direct mail ad "false and deceptive".

A previous Slaughter ad earlier this month was deemed 'overstated' by the Fair Election Practices Committee.

The Slaughter camp responded by saying that their ad is no longer on the air.

They also say Brooks is quibbling over whether it is tens of millions or hundreds of millions of dollars wasted by the County Executive’s administration.
