Hochul lands a post with M&T Bank

BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) - Former U.S. Representative Kathy Hochul has landed a job with M&T Bank where she will work in public relations as vice president of government relations.

Hochul will work with federal, state and local governments in transactions with the bank.

Democrat Hochul failed in her re-election bid to the 26 ^th Congressional District, losing to Republican former Erie County Executive Chris Collins.  The loss to Collins was by a relatively small margin, 4,000 votes.  That is a remarkable considering it was in a district in which Republicans outnumber Democrats by about 35,000 voters.
