Poll: Grisanti shows strong lead

ALBANY, NY (WIVB) - A new Siena College Poll shows Republican Mark Grisanti with a strong lead in the 60 th District New York Senate race.

Grisanti leads Democrat Michael Amodeo nearly 2 to 1.

The poll shows  47 percent of the respondents favored Gristani compared to Amodeo’s 23 percent.

. “In Erie County, Democrats are hoping to unseat a freshman Republican – one of four Republicans to vote for last year’s same sex marriage law,” reported Siena pollster Steven Greenberg. “With a crowded field of candidates splitting the anti-Grisanti vote, the incumbent has a 24-point lead over his nearest competitor, Amodeo, the Democrat “

Charles Swanick, who is running on the Conservative line garnered 17 percent and Gregory Davis, endorsed by Working Families Party, got 6 percent.
