Poll: Slaughter leads Brooks by 10 pts.

ROCHESTER, NY (WIVB) - The latest Siena  Poll gives democratic Congresswoman Louise Slaughter a 10-point lead over opponent Maggie Brooks.

The newly redrawn 25 ^th Congressional District is being fiercely fought with Republicans eyeing a chance to have their candidate, Brooks, unseat Slaughter.  Louise Slaughter is a 13-term congresswoman.

The poll shows Slaughter at 52-percent compared to Brooks at 42-percent.  The Rochester area heavily favors Slaughter but Brooks takes a narrow lead in western parts of Monroe County.
