IRVING, N.Y. (WIVB) - The "Big Indian" is once again standing tall along the Thruway on the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation.
In June, someone vandalized the 30-foot statue, damaging it. Owned Cyrus Schindler tells News 4 his statue is one of only five in the entire country. After it was damaged, he removed it from the site to have repairs made.
Now, the "Big Indian" is back, standing in the same place along the Thruway where it's been for over 10 years.
