RIPLEY, N.Y. (WIVB) - Though he crashed with a semi head-on, deputies say a motorcyclist on the southern tier only got a road rash when he was ejected.

Around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office reports 26-year-old Aaron Craig of North East, PA crossed into the path of a semi along Rt. 76 in the Town of Ripley. Craig hit the semi head-on and was thrown from his bike. Despite the serious crash, Craig only suffered minor road rash and was treated at the scene.

Deputies ticketed Craig for speed not reasonable or prudent and failure to keep right. The semi driver was not injured.
