SINCLAIRVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) - A boil water alert is in effect for a village in Chautauqua County.

The health department is warning residents in Sinclairville to boil and conserve all water for drinking and cooking until further notice. A leak in the system caused a drop in pressure, and officials are trying to avoid contamination.

The village is working to repair the water main break.
