FORESTVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) - A boil water order has been lifted for the Village of Forestville by the Chautauqua County Health Department.
All water used for drinking and cooking needed to be boiled before use. That included water used for making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation. The health department says a test taken on November 20 showed harmful bacteria.
On November 23rd, the order was lifted after follow-up samples did not show any potentially harmful bacteria.
