ALLEGANY, N.Y. (WIVB) - A principal in the southern tier is stepping down after a run-in with the law.
Tim McMullen has resigned from Allegany-Limestone Middle School. He was convicted on harassment charges after a woman told police, McMullen stalked her back in 2010. McMullen had been on paid leave for the last two years.
Superintendent Dr. Karen Geelan said, "Here at Allegany-Limestone, all of our leaders are held to a very high standard as well. And we currently have someone who has been serving as the acting principal of the middle school and today we have, because of the proceedings last evening, we've posted for a middle school principal."
The superintendent would not comment on how the criminal charges related to the school's investigation.
