SBU to pray for wisdom before election

OLEAN, N.Y. (AP) - Religious leaders from numerous faiths will come together on the eve of Election Day to pray for wisdom and guidance for the country.

St. Bonaventure University in New York's Southern Tier will hold the service Monday night. Representatives of the Jewish, Muslim, Methodist, Buddhist, Hindu and Catholic faiths are among those planning to attend.

Organizers say the day before Election Day was chosen for this year's World Day of Prayer for Peace so that people would come together to pray for guidance for the country.

The public is invited.
