GOWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A local hospital, unable to recover from devastating flood damage, is being torn down.
The wrecking crew began demolition of the former Tri-County Hospital in Gowanda on Monday. The facility was ravaged during the summer floods of 2009 and eventually condemned.
An urgent care facility has been serving patients since the hospital shut down in 2009. A new facility is being built in nearby Perrysburg.
