BUSTI, N.Y. (WIVB) - A grandmother lost her home to a fire the day before Thanksgiving.

Fire investigators say a burner on the stove had inadvertently been left on at the home on Hoag Road in the Town of Busti. Nine fire crews were called to the scene on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., and the home was already fully involved.

No one was home at the time of the fire. The home is considered a total loss and the fire has been ruled accidental.

The Red Cross is assisting the homeowner and her grandson.
