BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Call it YouTube with a live, interactive twist. Lindsay checks out a new site called UStream.TV .

I am sure many of us find ourselves on YouTube occasionally watching videos that will make us laugh or going back to watch something that was on TV again like President Obama's State of the Union address or Lady Gaga's performance at the Grammy's.

But now there is another cool site called UStream.TV which allows Smartphone users to stream live to the web as well as upload prerecorded videos just like on YouTube. This could come in handy for video bloggers, capturing breaking news, or your child's birthday party for Grandma to see, who lives in a different state.

We decided to take you into our studio to show you how UStream.TV and the Smartphone work together. Right now I am standing in front of the green screen, which is where Don, Mike and myself present the weather each day. A lot of people don't realize this, but it actually is a green wall in back of us and not the map you see on TV. When we look to the side to show you something we are looking at one of two monitors and then when we are looking in front we are looking at one of the robotic cameras in our studio.

Once you capture your video, click "stop" on your Smartphone, then you can decide if you want to save it and whether you would like to upload the video to UStream, Facebook, Twitter or YouTube, or all of the above.
