BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Going green is on the minds of many these days, and many people don't realize some very easy ways you can go green.
Did you know that using your own coffee mug instead of a disposable one, would reduce your carbon emissions significantly on a daily basis?
There's many more examples you can find on Carbon Rally.com, a website is devoted to all things green.
By clicking on the Challenges tab, you will find many ways to
reduce your CO2 footprint.
Many of them are very easy to implement, in your every day
life.
For example, not eating meat for two days reduces your carbon emissions by 13.2 pounds for every week you successfully complete the task.
Buffalo reduced their emissions by 237 pounds this week, through that task alone.
And here's another one. by giving away an article of clothing away that you don't wear anymore, reduces your carbon footprint by 27.1 pounds each week.
And the City of Buffalo reduced their CO2 footprint by 352 pounds this week alone.
Carbon Rally.com makes it fun to go green because it brings a little competition to the table, to see who reduces their carbon footprint the most.
You can join the competition by accepting a particular challenge and becoming a member of the site.
