CLARENDON, N.Y. (WIVB) - An Orleans County mother has been arrested for allegedly paying her teenaged son with drugs for doing household chores.

Terry Wichtendahl, 38, from Clarendon, was charged on Wednesday with endangering the welfare of a child and criminal sale of a controlled substance. Investigators from the Orleans County Sheriff's Department said they suspect she gave her 17-year old son prescription drugs for doing chores around the house.

She was released on her own recognizance and an order of protection was issued barring her from contact with her son.
