ROCHESTER, NY (WIVB) - Kodak is again retreating from using its name on prime real estate.
The financially troubled Eastman Kodak Co. filed motions in bankruptcy court to end its lease of huge billboard atop the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City's Times Square.
The Rochester-Democrat and Chronicle reports the company wants to transfer the lease of the billboard to Orange Barrel Media which would pay Kodak $3.7 million.
The billboard is used by Kodak to showcase its digital cameras.
Earlier this year Kodak ended its use of the Kodak name on the famous Los Angeles theater used for the Oscars.
