WEBSTER, NY (WIVB) -
Xerox is planning to open a call center in a Rochester suburb, adding 500 new jobs over the next two years.
The company is investing $4.3 million to renovate its property in Webster. The call center would be part of Xerox subsidiary Affiliated Computer Services, a Texas-based, business process outsourcing company that Xerox bought in 2010.
The plans call for the creation of 500 new jobs, including 350 jobs in 2012 and an additional 150 jobs by 2013.
Xerox is one of the the Rochester region's largest employers, with about 6,800 local workers.
