JAVA VILLAGE, N.Y. (AP) - Funeral services will be held this weekend for a western New York couple killed in a crash on Interstate 90 in Ohio last week.
The Daily News of Batavia reports that the services for Carl and Sandra Fisher of Holland in Erie County will be held Saturday in nearby Java Village in neighboring Wyoming County.
The newspaper reports that the Fishers were visiting family in Ohio last Thursday when 70-year-old Sandra drove her minivan across I-90's median and into oncoming traffic in Ashtabula County in northeastern Ohio. She and her 72-year-old husband were killed when the van collided with a pickup truck pulling a camper.
The Fishers were known for their work with various civic groups and organizations in Wyoming and Genesee counties.
