JAVA LAKE, N.Y. (WIVB) - Five months after our Call for Action story and a tough battle, the liens have now been removed on the homes at Java Lake in Wyoming County.

RELATED | The Java Lake Colony wanted to charge the residents an annual fee for upkeep of the roads, beaches, and other common areas.

But, some homeowners say they get little service from Java Lake Colony, so they did the work themselves. Instead, they refused to pay the dues thus causing the liens to be placed on their homes.
