Zellers to close remaining 64 stores
Each store employs about 100 workers

TORONTO, ONT. (wivb) - Zellers is closing most of its 64 remaining stores in Canada that aren’t being converted to Target stores.
The Canadian Press reports that the Hudson’s Bay Co. made the announcement but did not give a timetable for the closures. They do say the stores won’t be open past next March.
The remaining stores employ 6,400 people.
