Bandits End Season with Loss

Buffalo Sets NLL Attendance Record

BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) - The Buffalo Bandits ended the season with a 13-12 overtime loss to Boston.  Shaun Morris scored the overtime goal to give the Blazers the win.

The loss by Buffalo, combined with New York's win over Minnesota, denies the Bandits of an East Division title.  New York wins the crown with a 10-6 record.

Buffalo will host a playoff game on May 2nd.  Their opponent will be the same Boston Blazers.  Game time is 7:30pm.

John Tavares scored four goals, including the tying goal with 2:41 left that sent the game to OT.  He also added three assists.

Mark Steenhuis and Mike Accursi scored three times.  Accursi added four assists.

Buffalo held a 10-5 lead in the 3rd quarter, but Boston scored the next five goals to tie the game. 

The Buffalo crowd of 18, 257 allowed the Bandits to set a new National Lacrosse League single-season attendance record with 143,381.  It broke the previous record set by the Colorado Mammoth in 2004.
