BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) - Playing their first home game in over a month, and wearing a new third jersey, the Bandits beat the Toronto Rock 25-10. Mark Steenhuis led the way with a 17 point night (4 goals, 13 assists). Buffalo improves to 5-1.
The 13 assists and 17 points from Steenhuis are new Bandits records. The 17 points are also a National Lacrosse League record.
Roger Vyse had 6 goals, John Tavares scored 4 goals, Corey Bomberry three, and the Bandits got 2 goals from Sean Greenhalgh, Kevin Dostie and Thomas Montaur.
Ken Montaur made 13 saves on 28 shots.
The Bandits have now swept their first two games from the Rock, a team that beat them twice in 2008. They play again next week in Toronto.
