ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. - A lot of changes are hitting One Bills Drive.
The firing of coach Dick Jauron was just the tip of the iceberg.
As News 4 previously reported, the Bills are on the brink of a major shakeup in their football department. Sources told us yesterday they're planning on hiring a football czar, a coach, general manager, or maybe one man to be coach and general manager, to run the entire football department.
Team owner Ralph Wilson said as much today in an interview with the Associated Press. Wilson says he's ready to revamp the whole operation and he says every position will be reviewed. His position is resonating in the Bills locker room today.
Chris Kelsay, Bills defensive end said, "Drastic times call for drastic measures. I think he's willing to do that, that just gives us more motivation and more incentive to play hard, for each other, for this organization, for him, and try to get some wins for him. Because he's obviously getting fed up with it."
Interim head coach Perry Fewell continues to make changes. The Bills signed second-year quarterback Brian Brohm off the Packers practice squad. He was Green Bay's second round draft pick in 2008. The Bills cut third quarterback Gibran Hamdan to make room.
Just more evidence that Perry Fewell is determined to shake things up and put a little more competitive heat on his players. The Bills play at Jacksonville Sunday, November 22.
