ORLANDO, F.L. (WIVB) - Tiger Woods is home from the hospital after a car crash early in the morning on Friday, November 27 in Florida.
Tiger's OK. He sustained only facial cuts early this morning after he crashed his car into a fire hydrant and a tree. He was treated and released from the hospital.
The accident happened near Tiger Woods' home in a gated waterfront community near Orlando. Police in Florida say he was alone in his 2009 Cadillac SUV when he pulled out of his driveway around 2:30 this morning. The car hit a fire hydrant and a neighbor's tree and Woods suffered cuts on his face. The Florida Highway Patrol says alcohol was not involved, but the accident remains under investigation and charges could be filed. No word on where Tiger was going when he left his home.
Tiger is scheduled to host the Chevron World Challenge in California next week and there's no word on whether he will proceed with that.
